Labor and Employment
Labor and employment law is a complex and fluid area of the law, due to the continual creation and amendment of state and federal statutes, new court decisions, and developments pertaining to intellectual property rights and obligations.
Predominantly representing employers, Webb & Webb regularly counsels clients with labor and employment law issues, from workplace safety investigations and employee discipline and termination to human resources issues and breach of contract claims. We also represent clients in disputes pertaining to discrimination, sexual harassment, defamation, and restrictive covenants, including the enforcement of non-competition and confidentiality agreements and protection of employers’ trade secrets.
Our attorneys’ thorough understanding of employers’ needs enables us to provide practical, result-oriented solutions to unique employment law issues as well as day-to-day problems that arise in virtually every type of business. We review clients’ personnel practices in an effort to help our clients avoid problems and expensive litigation before they arise by drafting proactive employment policies and helping our clients establish effective practices and procedures to develop successful and productive employer-employee relationships.
