J. Duncan Webb, IV is the sole shareholder of the firm whose practice
primarily focuses on business and transactional matters, federal taxation,
estate planning, and real estate. He graduated from Southern Methodist
University in 1977 with a business administration degree in accounting and
finance and earned his law degree from SMU in 1980.
Duncan has more than
twenty five years of legal experience and has been admitted to practice
in the United States Tax Court, United States District Court, Northern
District of Texas, and Fifth Circuit of the United States Court of
Appeals.
During the three years Inside Collin County Business conducted
its annual awards, Duncan was voted “Best Business Lawyer” in Collin
County all three years and “Best Business Tax Consultant” one year. Duncan
is a Sustaining Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation whose membership is
limited to approximately one percent of the state’s attorneys.
Duncan is a
member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar
Association, Collin County Bar Association, and the Plano Bar Association.
He has served on the boards of directors of the Assistance Center of
Collin County, the Plano Library Advisory Board, The Classics, and the
Leadership Plano Advisory Board. Duncan is currently President of the Board of Trustees for the Plano Independent School District
and is also serving on the executive board of Christ United Methodist
Church and the Advisory Board of Directors of the Medical Center of Plano.
